Meet The Flock
The Valais Blacknose
It didn't take long for the Valais Blacknose to steal my heart. Playful, endlessly curious, and always ready to greet a familiar face, they have a way of turning every visit to the pasture into an adventure. Their remarkable wool and unmistakable black faces may first catch your eye, but it's their joyful personalities that make people fall in love.
Each spring, we eagerly await the arrival of new lambs, welcoming the next generation to our little flock. This past spring, however, the story took an unexpected turn. Franklin and Jellybean arrived not through our breeding program, but as two surprise little lambs born to Opal and Sparkles. Though they weren't part of our original plans, they quickly became two of the most beloved members of the flock.

Ollie and George
Every flock has a beginning. Before the Valais, there were Ollie and George, two little orphaned wethers who came into my life when I knew very little about sheep. They asked only for steady hands, patient care, and a willingness to return each day. Somewhere between morning feedings, quiet walks through the pasture, and evenings spent in the grass, something in me began to change.
The days were no longer measured by appointments or errands, but by the rhythm of the flock. I learned to notice the changing seasons, the sound of contented chewing, the weight of a halter in my hand, and the quiet responsibility of caring for lives entrusted to me. Without realizing it, the pasture had become home, and I had stepped into a life I never knew I was searching for.
Ollie and Geore remained at the heart of it all. There came a day when they were no longer standing apart. The flock folded around them, and the two little wethers found what every sheep longs for, a flock to belong to and a place to call home.
