Unsweetned organic cocoa folding into sourdough and studded with tart Montmorency cherries , this loaf is rich without being heavy, indulgent without being overly sweet.  The natural tang of slow fermentation plays against bittersweet chocolate notes and bright bursts of cherry in every slice. 

 

It's the kind of bread meant to be torn apart and shared - warm with salted butter, drizzle lightly with honey or served beside a glass of red wine.  Toast it and the aroma alone feels like a lover's evening in a quiet kitchen. 

 

Baked in small batches, naturally leavened, and crafted with intention - this loaf is for sweethearts, anniversaries, or simply because love deserves something handmade.

    Flour, water, cocoa powder, dried cherries, honey, salt.

    All breads are made with wheat and baked in a home kitchen where nuts and other allergens are also used.  I do my best to keep ingredients separate, but I cannot guarantee that any loaf of completely free from cross-contact.

  • THE PINERY PICK-UP & INSTRUCTIONS

    Orders are baked fresh and available for pickup by arrangement.  Exact pickup details will be provided after order confirmation.  Loaves are best within 2-3 days; to keep longer, freezing is recommended.

  • PRE-ORDER SCHEDULE

    Orders placed by 7:00 am will be ready for pick-up the following day and placed in the front porch cabinet at 2pm for you to pick-up at your leisure.

    Orders placed after 7:00 am will be included in the next day's bake schedule and ready the day after that.
